To: Mr. Hywel Williams,
Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Catalonia
Dear Mr Williams,
We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the murder of Sir David and wish to convey
our most sincere condolences to the entire All Party Parliamentary Group on Catalonia, both
on behalf of Esquerra Republicana and our own.
We know Sir David was committed to the civil and political rights of the Catalan people, and
was always on the side of the cause for democracy in our country at the most difficult times of
repression ensuing the 2017 referendum.
At such a painful moment, distressed by a crime that should never have occurred, we likewise
have friends and family in our thoughts and request you convey our heartfelt commiseration.
With our sincerest sympathy,
Oriol Junqueras, President Esquerra Republicana,
Jordi Solé i Ferrando,
Secretary for International Affairs of
Esquerra Republicana
